Carney is bailing out condo developers.

He did it in Ontario.

He’s now doing it in BC.

I remember this article last year, where the billionaire “condo king” in BC literally said:

“I’m working with Carney – surprise – and I’m trying to get a rental program in where people can buy, put it into a 25-year pool, get a preferred rate from CMHC and let’s allow foreign buyers to buy it”

While this is not the exact plan implemented today, it shows that the wealthiest are working directly with Carney, not his office and not his Ministers, to get a bail out.

The end goal is complete: Carney bailed them out.

But when YOU lose YOUR job, and you lose your condo, because the PM wasn’t able to negotiate a deal with Trump like he campaigned on, there’s no bail out for you.

You lose it all.

But you just paid, with your taxes, to bail out a billionaire.

People don’t realize, this is what Carney has done his whole adult life, including at Goldman Sachs; serve the elites.

It’s right in our face & Carney doesn’t even pretend to hide it anymore.

Spent the day in Alberta's mountains.

Had tea overlooking a sublime view of glaciers, the Bow Valley, and Lake Louise. It was great, after getting some altitude and above the Lake, which was absolutely PACKED with foreigners.

Parking was impossible, so even the access roads were lined with wandering non-citizens abusing Mark Carney's Canada Strong Pass. It should be called India's All-Access Pass. Local Albertans can't use their own damn park, let alone other Canadians. Parking for Canadians was $40. FOURTY. It was free for the bus loads of non-Canadians.

To make matters worse, the abuse of the natural environment was unreal. Garbage in the trees. People ripping tree branches down to use as walking sticks. People screaming into a livestream on a quiet forest trail to their family back home.

America charges foreigners to go to Yellowstone and Yosemite. I can see why.

Total disrespect for the most beautiful place on earth, and for the taxpayers that pay to keep it that way.

They buried it inside an omnibus budget bill.

It gives Cabinet the power to authorize pesticides Health Canada has deemed unsafe. For “food security.” A term the bill doesn’t define.

The Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment called it “cabinet overruling science.”

The pesticide industry called it a win.

Both are right.

This is such a bad look for these Chiefs. People are sick and tired of hearing unrealistic demands from them. It might be tolerable if their communities were beacons of prosperity, safety, strong families and real accountability, but sadly, they’re anything but.
On too many Alberta First Nations, their own people face:
Devastating addiction & overdose crises tearing families apart
Kids removed into care at shocking rates
Entrenched poverty, high unemployment & welfare traps
Housing issues for their people.
Lagging education outcomes limiting the great promise of their youth
Elevated domestic violence and other family related troubles.
It is heartbreaking. And I truly mean that.
Shouldn’t the priority be fixing these failures for their people? I know we have a Premier and government that care deeply about these serious issues and want to help fix them. And how about addressing band governance and finances?!Why not more focus on partnering with Alberta on energy jobs, treatment programs, schools and housing? Not this childish nonsense.
The gall to call a sitting Premier treasonous - all because you disagree with a policy. And it’s a policy that gives a say to the people! It is the very thing they claim to stand for? Makes you wonder who these guys are taking their orders from. It surely isn’t their own people. I’ll probably take heat for saying these things but if we don’t, we continue to bury our heads in the sand and pretend they aren’t happening. Tough and respectful conversations can bring about change. That is my hope.
