Suppose they told their parents they hated being a boy. Trans girls start doing this very young, age 4-6

She chooses to wear a princess dress instead of baggy pants, plays with dolls instead of trucks, avoids fights rather than joining in.

These become more clear with age. By age 5, they have a gender identity that won't change.

Even the $20k for bottom surgery at age 18-25 is a bargain 1-time deal.

@MDoane5 @wells_sl @JazzJennings__ Nobody mutilates minors. Blockers are a nonsurgical way to delay puberty in cases of acute gender dysphoria. This reduces the need for costly surgeries necessary if the patient goes through the wrong puberty.
Hormones are started around age 14-16 depending upon state/country.

@MDoane5 @wells_sl @JazzJennings__ Several studies of Transgender populations show that untreated trans teens are more likely to attempt suicide, become alcoholics and/or drug addicts.
When police investigated teen suicides for cyberbullying, they found that a substantial number were trans.

Unfortunately, people get freaked out at the idea of a 6 yo trans girl using girl's bathrooms.

@MDoane5 @wells_sl @JazzJennings__ Trans teens going through wrong puberty become very self-destructive. This results in hospitals and/or long-term psychiatric care.

A 30-day drug treatment program costs about $100,000 per treatment. Blockers & hormones costs about $2 per day.

@scrufwiththecat @UglaStefania Not necessarily. The press and the courts are notorious for misgendering real transgender women who have had HRT - calling them men. Often, such women must spend the majority of their time in "protective custody" (solitary confinement) for crimes such as prostitution &. blackmail

@xela19721 @UglaStefania We all know that rapes or underreported. Much of this is because the rapists are respected members of the community (clergy, politicians, law enforcement...) and are likely to discredit the victim.
Trans women are more likely to BE raped than to rape.

@davecorviddave @UglaStefania REAL trans women are chemically castrated. They get estradiol and grow breasts. They lose upper body strength & lose weight to look feminine, or they become fat without muscle mass. Most trans women in jails & prisons are convicted of prostitution.

@xxxDreaxxxx @UglaStefania The responsible thing to do is to establish criteria for what constitutes a trans woman who should go to a women's prison. At a minimum, they should be chemically castrated (blockers) & on estrogen. They should be offered castration as a prerequisite.

@Leejeanie2 @UglaStefania If a guy in a beard and a dress is doing anything more than going to a stall, doing their business, washing their hands, and leaving - they have a 99% chance of being arrested and convicted if they peep, flash, touch, or make lewd comments. They are too easy to identify.

@Orcacocoa @UglaStefania Many of these "trans women" weren't trans women. They dressed as women to try to disguise themselves, or to avoid capture. The actual trans women who are convicted of "sex crimes" are typically convicted of prostitution (and often accept plea bargains).

@goeke_christina @UglaStefania The fact is that they didn't. Most of the "offender trans women" weren't actually trans women. They were cisgender men dressed as women trying to prove that they could "get away with it", only to find themselves arrested and convicted as sex offenders.

@ChristinaVosila @jk_rowling Many lesbians seem to have little satisfaction with men but "go through the motions" of marriage & children because it's expected. Then they experience a woman and realize what they have been missing, and realize that's what they want.

@jcinpa01 @WeDidItOnce @JazzJennings__ In the early stages, dilation is very painful and takes up to an hour per session. Eventually, it becomes less painful, and some people even find it pleasurable, but it's still something usually done in private. Imagine having to insert a 10-inch dildo days after having a baby.

@GratefulHeartM @wells_sl @JazzJennings__ @MattWalshBlog Maybe the miracle in healing was having parents who sought out experts, and helped her to do what was needed for her to transition rather than waiting until she became suicidal.
I had to trans cousins who killed themselves.
I almost killed myself multiple times.
Trans kids die.
