@PM_ViktorOrban Europe protecting Ukraine is reactive to Russia's invasion.
You talk about the need for ceasefire agreements instead, where is Putin at the negotiation table?
@andreivkozyrev a few reasons why he's "stringing western leaders along" and won't accept any lasting peace deal:
- war objectives aren't fulfilled yet(land corridor to Moldova)
- Ukraine entering peace time would mean they are actually eligible to join EU/NATO, preventing future invasions
@RasmusJarlov The mental gymnastics from Trump to claim Ukraine's sovereignty isn't a security threat to the US but Greenland who hasn't seen a war in almost 100 years is.
@markomihkelson We will stop attacking(for now) as long as you don't rearm, while we rearm to attack you right after the ceasefire.
Who could refuse such a generous offer?
@VP interesting how you dont care whatsoever about Ukraine's security when theyre literally fighting for their existence, but Greenland who hasnt seen a war in almost 100 years is suddenly a security threat that needs intervention
@yarotrof There are no encircled pockets in the Kursk salient. His statement basically alleges that the remaining Ukrainians soldiers are trapped, which is not the case. The southern Russian pincer has not broken through the Ukrainian border, though a withdrawal is needed.
@MerruX@yarotrof Risk of encirclement, there's basically only 1 highway going into Sudzha from Ukraine. Russian forces had breakthroughs on 3 fronts following the withdrawal of US aid & intel, which would put the entire Kursk salient in danger if the highway is cut off.
@PKurzin If Russia agrees to the ceasefire they will just break it and pretend nothing is happening, but at least this resumes US intel & aid for the time being.
@KareemRifai How about the president copying straight Kremlin propaganda in his statements like the dictator and no elections lines.

People that high up don't fall for propaganda, at that point it's intentional.
