I had applied for a German visa appointment for my exchange term in Germany.

One day prior to my original appointment date, after I had reached Mumbai, my appointment for rescheduled.

It got rescheduled for today and now I am told that the Visa application was in a different category.

A friend of mine has just received his visa in the exact same category from the Cochin center less than a month back for his exchange term.
