@MarkDavidsonAfr I checked yesterday, and Discovery has 27 PMB chronic conditions that the chronic illness benefit covers. My prescribed medication is on the list, but my condition isn't. That might be why it isn't covered.

@DrAmandaBowen @ArtThePedant @Discovery_SA I'm so sorry to hear that. My father had a similar experience last year, and he's on a comprehensive plan. I think saving where we can has become an inevitable part of life, which comes with tough choices. And aside from that, just doing what we can to stay healthy 😅

@lynnlayman I actually see it's possible to apply for chronic medication cover, but it wasn't something that our broker told us about. Should actually check if it's possible, could save R1000 a month 😮

@karenmilford I was at emergency care at a hospital last week and the 5 minutes spent with the administrator and pathcare technician were the best part of the entire experience. The remaining 1.5 hours were meh 😕
