my grandpa passed away this past week at 89 & my mom told me that one of the last things she did with him was help him cast his early vote. As a life long farmer & Democrat he was so excited to vote for Kamala Harris. This one’s for you, grandpa Gene 💙
We are in Winslow getting out the vote before polls close tonight. Polls are still open across Arizona. Find your local polling site and make your voice heard!
Ukraine has delivered 14.5 thousand tons of corn to Malawi as part of the humanitarian program "Grain From Ukraine". Almost 5 thousand tons more will be delivered in the coming weeks. I am grateful to the UN World Food Programme and partners for supporting this effort.
We know that Malawi is experiencing a devastating drought this year, which has destroyed a significant portion of local maize production and caused severe food insecurity. In these circumstances, we decided to lend a helping hand to the people and government of Malawi.
This delivery of Ukrainian corn will help to stabilize the situation and provide for the monthly needs of over 1.5 million Malawians. Ukraine remains committed to its role as a global food security guarantor, even as it defends itself against Russia's full-scale invasion and attacks on our ports and agricultural infrastructure.
Ukraine's goal is not only to provide food in times of need, but also to share knowledge and technology with our African partners to help them become more self-sufficient and independent in agricultural production. This will be one of the main focus areas of the upcoming 3rd Food Security Summit in Kyiv.
We rely on a broad representation of African states and other partners at this important event. We can overcome the consequences of Russian aggression against Ukraine by standing together and upholding the principles of the UN Charter.
I don't know who had the idea to sit @PeteButtigieg down with undecided Michigan voters and just let him cook, but this is just brilliant content strategy.
WATCH: “Is this an interview or a debate? Name one statement I just made that was factually inaccurate… there was a manufacturing recession under Trump, and he let China take the lead on EV’s. Look it up.”
@PeteButtigieg schools a petulant @kilmeade
Could not sleep last night. I woke up thinking about how this should have been Jaime's first time as a voter. I woke up thinking about what I lost because of failed policy for far too many years. I can say with certainty that Jaime would have loved voting for @KamalaHarris. The photo below is of our next President standing at the memorial at the school where Jaime was murdered and looking at Jaime's photo. Today I am hoping that this country turns out to vote for Jaime, and all victims of gun violence, and the chance to do more to prevent future gun violence so that other young people are free from gun violence and get to grow up to become first time voters. I am hoping that this country turns out and votes for those already injured by the draconian abortion laws and the chance to do more to protect health care and bodily autonomy for women. I am hoping that this country turns out in reaction to climate change and the epic disasters that we are now seeing and the hope to do more to reflect that reality that climate change is real. I am hoping that this country turns out to protect voting rights already under attack and the chance to do more to protect our rights to vote in this incredible Democracy. I am hoping that this country turns out and votes to send a message loudly and clearly that we want decency, civility, and honest debate and to make clear that we have had enough of the indecency and "alternative facts" that have affected our political discourse for far too long. I am hoping that this country turns out and votes to make clear that our Democracy is still worth defending and something that American voters can proudly stand and deliver the anthem for, and the rest of the world can look up to.
If you still have not voted, today is the day. Today is the day to vote for what you hope not to lose and also to vote for what you hope for in the future.
The single worst thing about Trump to me will always be how much he's changed people. I've watched friends and relatives become entirely new, worse people in the wake of his political rise. Like it's not merely that he's a terrible guy, it's that he's ruined people.
