Apparently you can't walk around the store with your own bag filling it up as you go. Items must be placed 'in a basket'

A member os staff walked up to me mid aisle with a basket and said it was store policy.

I asked if it's a new policy as I've been to this store perhaps a dozen times, shopped the same way, and no one has ever asked me to do that.

Staff said it's not a new policy, it's always been this way.

So I asked why no one has ever asked me to do that before.

Staff said, stop arguing and just do it.

So I put my bag in the basket.

Staff said, no, not like that. Put the items in the basket, then put them in your bag after you have paid for them.

I put the bag in the basket and walked off to take this photo.

Aldi, if this is a thing, please let me know. Would appreciate the clarity. Thanks 👍

P.S. If I wanted to steal stuff I'd go to a Waitrose 👀🤷‍♀️

So fed up. I love our NHS, I do, but when it takes over a year to get you booked in for surgery, for them to cancel not once, but twice (so far!) you can’t help but feel that something isn’t working. 😒

Scrolling through sky news. One headline says energy giants are enjoying record profits, then a bit further down there’s another saying people are going to struggle to afford their energy bills when the price hikes again.

Parenting in a nutshell: I’m trying to watch a film on the tv. I have one child watching TikTok on her phone full blast on one side of me, and another watching his tablet full blast on the other side. I can’t hear a thing 🙄 good job I’ve seen it before! 🤣
