We are having fun and learning lots on our Great Canadian Farm Tour. So far we “traveled to” and learned about potatoes in NB, tomatoes in BC, and Research Farms on PEI #GCFT23CONTEST

Sts shared something they liked about their classmates. Then I created a list of kind things others think about each of them as they part ways for the summer break. The border of their self portraits make it extra adorable. @AISGZ

ABC Countdown to summer @AISGZ was extra fun this year because sts picked the themes then teachers planned the activities. This is my absolute favorite way to end the school year! *N=no work (and no photos 😂).

We closed out a short week with our first cardboard maker day @AISGZ
Students designed and build carnival games for others to play.
It was loud and messy and chaotic but pretty fantastic too.

During our #HTWW unit, I love giving sts @AISGZ the freedom to research the solar system and decide how they want to create it in the classroom. Then, they will continue to add to it as they learn more. The US flag on the moon is hands-down my favorite addition yet!

A student has been asking if she could teach #iMovie trailers to the class. After a busy week of prepping for SLCs, it felt like a great way to end the day. She even inspired me to make one to share with parents for their big day tomorrow. #studentsteachingteachers @AISGZ

We kicked off our #poetry unit @AISGZ by unlocking our senses. Sts described their 🍊 using their 👀 🤚 👂 👃 and (the best for last) 👅. It definitely helps having a poet @AdrianaRewald as an amazing EAL co-teacher to get excited about poetry.

Collaboration for the win! Sts @AISGZ were learning about different ways to preserve food in #HWOO so it seemed like the perfect opportunity for some hands-on learning with PRESERVATION ROTATIONS. Canning, smoking, dehydrating, and pickling ✅ @CMiolee @AdrianaRewald

After passing the beginning of our @travellingtale off to @marianozuk in Japan 🇯🇵, we made some predictions about what sts @AISGZ think will happen next. We will continue to check and add onto this after each part is complete. @msamydyer @ma_miou @AdrianaRewald
