@EmmaDArpinoRD Thank you for the insightful lecture this week. I used to believe that all processed foods were unhealthy, but I've come to realize that even whole grain breads undergo processing. The healthiness of foods depends on their specific nutrient content.#beh353@beh353
This is a great reminder to find fresh organic produce. As the weather becomes warmer, there will be many local farm markets opening up. It’s a great way to shop for organic produce and they are usually cheaper. #beh353@beh353
@RoshniNagarajan@beh353 This is a great article! I think the tables and different categories make it easy for people to understand and follow along! #beh353@beh353

This is an interesting post! Many times we just see something be organic and think it’s healthy like these drinks. It’s important to check the nutrition label and see what you are actually eating and drinking. #beh353@beh353
@CLBKrisN@beh353 I agree! Fat shaming will impact patients negatively and won’t make them want to get help. Why would anyone go to the clinic or hospital if they are going to demotivate and be rude to them! #beh353@beh353
I learned from the article that 1/3 - 3/4 of people classified as obese are metabolically healthy. This shows being overweight is not the issue, it should be your eating habits. It’s always important to not fat shame which prevents people from getting help #beh353@beh353

@Spoorthi_mc@beh353 Hi Spoorthi, I agree returning to a normal weight will always be a struggle. This is why teaching younger generations healthier habits is very important for their wellbeing in the future. #beh353@beh353
Child hood obesity is directly linked to poverty. This will always start young until we emphasize the importance of healthy foods and make them more accessible. Classes for healthy eating needs to be prevalent in elementary schools to prevent bad habits developing #beh353@beh353
@RoshniNagarajan@beh353 Hi Roshni! I agree I said the same thing. With work and classes it’s hard to make food that’s healthy and taste good. Also, it’s hard getting groceries that aren’t too expensive in Boston! #beh353@beh353
Here’s a great post I found for this week. I have a slow cooker but haven’t used it much. I’ll try to give this a try and maybe it’ll help me save time and have healthier meals! #beh353@beh353
A barrier I face for eating healthy is the lack of time to plan, shop, prepare and cook healthy foods. It’s hard planning when to prepare food and when to get groceries as I don’t have a car. I have been trying meal prep which definitely saves time and money. #beh353@beh353
Here’s a great article! That discusses bad habits that we may have in our diets and it’s important to minimize the intake of these foods. @beh353#beh353
@MarinaAlex113@beh353 That’s nice to see that your are taking these supplements. I know, for me atleast, it’s hard to meet necessary requirements when we are busy with school and work. #beh353@beh353
