The President just made thousands of stock trades — and then he turned around and made decisions that shifted those companies’ bottom lines. It's corrupt, and we need to end it.
¡Felicidades, Dilan! Te lo has ganado. Espero que disfrutes la tarjeta de regalo de @ChangingHands. 🎓
The U.S. is giving away massive concessions just to get back to where we were before Trump started this war.
Sadly, that’s the cost of entering a war of choice without a strategy or a plan.
Step 1: Remove filters in Reflecting Pool because Obama put them in.
Step 2: Give your criminal neighbor who runs "Greenwater Services" a $20 million no-bid contract to paint the pool.
Step 3: Fill the pool with water from the Potomac River, the phosphates from which cause algae blooms.
Step 4: Freshly sealed pool and extreme heat result in a super scum event
Step 5: Direct National Park Service to dump hydrogen peroxide into the pool which causes the paint to peel.
Step 5: Deploy US National Guard to stop people from taking photos of the swamp as a perfect metaphor for the administration.
Step 6: Blame someone else.
Today, the Ukrainian army is effectively the main army in Europe that can deter and resist large-scale aggression over a long period of time. And after this war, this must remain the case.
The existence of such an army should help prevent any future aggressive moves by Putin. That is why we need to start thinking now about how to provide the funding the Ukrainian army will need in the years ahead.
If we want Europe to have the strongest army, one that can truly respond to any threat, this is only possible with long-term cooperation with Ukraine and long-term support for the Ukrainian army. This is a realistic new security architecture for Europe.

Happy Juneteenth! On this day 161 years ago, the last enslaved Americans learned of their freedom.
Today is an important day to reflect on our history & celebrate the generations of Black Americans who have fought, marched, & sacrificed for our country.
As Americans, we must always strive to form a more perfect union.
More than 40 years ago, I arrived in Chicago in search of an idea. I was a young man looking for purpose, who believed deeply in America, was inspired by the Civil Rights Movement, and wanted to be a part of something larger. The America I believed in was one where everyone has opportunity, everyone is seen, everyone belongs—because that was an America that had a place for me, too.
A course of action has been approved – to increase the financial sustainability of our defense and ensure the continued transformation of the Ukrainian Army.
First – pay. We have the resources to increase pay in the military. The minimum will be 30,000 hryvnias in rear areas. The more combat missions, the higher the level of pay. There will be new, significantly stronger contracts for infantry personnel. On average, 300,000 hryvnias on the front line. Everything depends on our Ukrainian infantryman.
The contracts will be structured to ensure clarity: contract terms of 10, 14, and 24 months with clear conditions – meaning clear temporary discharge. Guaranteed terms – and real temporary discharge. In addition, payments for Ukrainian combat commanders will be increased, and this should create a positive incentive to preserve command experience within the Army.
Second, I am grateful to all the volunteers from other countries who are fighting for freedom in Ukraine. I have instructed that significantly more opportunities be opened for foreign volunteers to join the Ukrainian Army. There will be additional recruitment mechanisms to support this.
Third, further simplification of transfers for warriors, more opportunities to advance within the Army, and more positive incentives to join the defense.
I expect every element of the changes now being implemented to show its effectiveness this summer. The Ministry of Defense will present the details of the decisions.
This week @HouseDemocrats came together on the Capitol steps to recognize #GunViolenceAwarenessMonth.
It's not enough to honor the lives lost to gun violence — Congress needs to pass common sense gun safety reforms like universal background checks & safe storage requirements to prevent the next tragedy.
I wouldn’t be where I am today without the love and support that @MichelleObama has poured into me over the years. Her story — from her South Side roots to the White House and beyond — is a central part of the Obama Presidential Center.
Trump on inflation: "I love it."
He doesn’t care one bit that you're paying hundreds more for gas and groceries. If he did, he would actually do something about it.
Breaking News: A judge indefinitely barred the Trump administration from establishing a $1.8 billion fund for government persecution claims. https://t.co/kyCFDYgUzY
Families are paying more at the pump, more at the grocery store and more for health care. You'd think House Republicans would want to do something about it.
Instead, their budget bill cuts a $38.5 billion blank check for Trump’s out-of-control ICE. I voted NO.
Mark Hamill says he pushed for Luke, Leia, and Han to share one final scene together in the STAR WARS sequel trilogy.
“I said, ‘It’ll only take 30 seconds.’”
According to Hamill, J. J. Abrams replied: “Well, Mark, it’s not Luke’s story anymore.”
