Established in 2014, our Umani Springs Reintegration Unit is fast turning into a crèche, as the first orphans raised here are growing up, coupling with wild bulls, and having their own calves.
Lenny and Sulwe are two of the latest additions. Although they aren’t related by blood, these calves will grow up in the wild as siblings — not unlike their mothers, Lima Lima and Sonje, orphans who were raised side by side in our care.
