A 36-year-old man from Texas flew to Bogotá, Colombia and allegedly sexually abused a 7-year-old boy on a balcony in broad daylight.

Neighbors heard the screams. They filmed. They called police. Because of them, three children ages 4, 7, and 15 are now safe.

🔘 JUST IN: Cyber attack at Jamaica Stock Exchange

The Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE) is reporting that the personal information of some clients have have been accessed by hackers. According to the JSE, the cyber incident happened recently and has now been contained.

▫️Personal information involved:
(i) Full name
(ii) Residential and/or mailing address
(iii) Email address and telephone number
(iv) Date of birth
(v) Government-issued identification number (e.g. TRN and passport number)
(vi) Account number or client reference.

▫️The JSE says so far, there is no evidence that the incident affected trading or settlement platforms, customer login credentials or core transactional systems.

▫️The stock exchange says it is cooperating with investigators and the authorities. At the same time, it is directly directly contacting affected individuals with specific guidance. the JSE says it will never ask for passwords, PINs or one-time codes by email or telephone.

🔘 DEVELOPING: Scotiabank to take full ownership of Scotia Jamaica

Scotia Group Jamaica Limited is to be bought out by its Canadian-based parent company through majority shareholder, Scotiabank Caribbean Holding Limited. This means that the bank will no longer be publicly listed, but will instead become a private entity.

▫️The sale, approved by the bank's directors, will be at a cost of J$61.50 per share or about J$56.7 billion.

▫️Scotiabank Jamaica says the sale of the shares will not materially affect its Jamaican operations. In fact, president and CEO Audrey Tugwell-Henry says the transaction is intended to help the entity to better focus on long-term value creation and core business growth.

▫️The purchase price of $61.50 per share works out to a 13-per cent premium of its 30-day average trading price on the Jamaica Stock Exchange.

▫️Scotiabank's minority shareholders are to vote on the proposed shares sale before there can be court approval. The process is expected to close in the fourth calendar quarter of 2026.
