This is the paradox of @Apple being "poor" at AI:
> to better serve users, you need to track them.
> to better track users, you need to save their info and mine same.
> to better save their info, you need to relinquish privacy.
> to relinquish their privacy means your AI solutions won't be up to par.
It's clear why Apple can't "catch up". Not necessarily because they can't, but because catching up means sacrificing their ethos of privacy.
