This is how @networkrail respond to knowing a pair of PROTECTED buzzards are nesting 50m away they sent in the chain again making a hell of a racket- They have full knowledge yet ignore these birds and carry on regardless -absolutely disgusting @ChrisGPackham@NaturalEngland 😡
Well Done Scotland 🏴.
For birds who have been quietly losing their homes, this is a big moment.
Scotland has passed a historic law requiring swift bricks to be built into all new buildings, making space for birds part of modern construction, not an afterthought.
In January 2026, lawmakers backed the decision after years of concern over declining swift populations. As buildings became more sealed and modern, these birds lost the small gaps they once relied on to nest.
Swift bricks are simple, built-in nesting spaces that cost very little but make a life-saving difference. By making them mandatory, Scotland is proving that protecting wildlife does not have to be complicated.
For animal lovers, this feels like real progress. When cities are designed with compassion in mind, even the smallest lives are given a place to belong.

Can you imagine being denied access to your new baby while a man waves a weapon in your face?
Pittsburgh Zoo Shame on you!!
A Mother Elephant and her calf separated. Pay close attention to that bullhook! Mother desperately tries even behind bars to reach her child (while still being poked by those bullhooks!!)
This little family desperately needed that bonding moment. My heart breaks for Elephants stuck in captivity.

BREAKING: A PETA Asia investigation exposes elephants in Bali facilities chained, wounded, and hit with bullhooks.
These are not rescues - they’re prisons for elephants.
Don’t be misled by tourist traps.
Middlesbrough Council pushed ahead with reindeer parades despite 1,000+ public emails and warnings from 35 animal organisations. They ignored the backlash simply because they could. Using frightened live animals as Christmas props isn’t festive. It’s immoral.

SICKENING. Filmed by North Dorset Hunt Sabs, "Killed and thrown upside down in the back like a bag of rubbish. Quantock Staghounds had themselves a sick canned hunt today, keeping a poor stag running back and forth between roads for 3 hours with scores of scummers posted at every corner to radio through his every move."
Most cows used for milk give birth 3–5 times before being killed. 💔
Each cycle is the same: 9 months pregnant, calves taken at birth, milked for humans, bred again.
Their bodies break under the plan.

Nestlé has announced the end of the vegan KitKat in the UK & Ireland. They blamed costs and sales, but it's been suggested that hiding it in the free from aisle instead of next to the regular bars had something to do with it 🍫
Gang of feral kids throw stones at swan before kicking defenceless animal to death in 'senseless' attack, at Canoe Lake in Portsmouth, Hampshire, where swans are known to reside. Shockingly an adult & their parents were near by. Enquiries are ongoing.😡

The Cattistock Hunt packed up after just 10 minutes of our drone flying above them today! We saw them leaving the meet at 6.40am and by 7.20pm they were finished! We sadly filmed them killing a fox on Tuesday, but it seems that fox's death has saved lives today. @DorsetMonitor
