@drlisamilligan @TheVicarageCat @SomersetFT @NHS In my experience with the NHS in Somerset in the last few years, they ignore the "next of kin" if they have no welfare POA and appoint IMCA.

@TheVicarageCat @SomersetFT @NHS I believe that the law requires an Independent Mental Capacity Advocate to be involved by the NHS in this sort of decision. You can complain about that, and it is a serious breach. I can refer you to some advice on the Citizens Advice public site if you would like me to.
