SCOTUS and Birthright Citizenship ERROR #2

SCOTUS says the history of Jus Soli establishes that everyone born on American soil regardless of parental legal status automatically becomes a citizen.

However, factually and historically, Jus Soli is a legal doctrine developed by kings and conquerors to expand political power by creating subjects.

I find it disturbingly ironic that the liberal Justices, who claim to see slavery and oppression in every corner of American history, completely overlook the genuinely feudal origins of this doctrine.

This is what happens when history and the Constitution are replaced with political mythology.

Children are born subject to their parents, not to government. It’s a parental authority issue, not a government jurisdiction issue.

Government does not become a child’s master simply because they first draw breath within a particular border.

Even Great Britain, the very nation the majority relies upon to bind us to this feudal doctrine, has abandoned unconditional birthright citizenship.

1. Americans rejected the notion that people are born owing unconditional and perpetual allegiance to kings and governments when we declared Independence.

2. We rejected it again when we established a constitutional republic where citizenship is founded upon law, consent, and allegiance, not the accident of geography.

Now, through an astonishing ignorance of both history and constitutional principle, the majority has resurrected the very feudal philosophy our Founders rejected.

It is a political doctrine that says government owns your political allegiance from the moment of your birth, regardless of the allegiance of your parents.

That is the doctrine of kings and oppressors and therefore patently unAmerican.

If SCOTUS will, through an unfathomable depth of ignorance for political reasons, voluntarily adopt such despotism are we also going to overturn Dredd Scott in some creative but imaginative way that will become championed by the very people it once oppressed?

Every generation that abandons discernment eventually discovers the same truth: unintended consequences are monsters that never stay under your control. Eventually, they turn on their creators.

SCOTUS and Birthright citizenship ERROR #1.

SCOTUS relies on the 14th Amendment to justify Birthright Citizenship while ignoring the limits the 14th Amendment places upon its own authority.

Section 5 of the 14th Amendment reads:

“The Congress shall have power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article.”

Congress has NEVER enacted legislation granting Birthright Citizenship to the children of temporary visitors or those unlawfully present in the United States.

SCOTUS has the authority to review executive orders and determine whether they are constitutional. That is where its authority ends.

SCOTUS does NOT have the authority to write the legislation Congress never enacted.

If Birthright Citizenship extends to the children of temporary visitors or those unlawfully present, the Constitution assigns that decision to Congress not the courts.

By creating through judicial opinion what the Constitution assigns to the legislative branch, the majority has violated the separation of powers and exceeded its constitutional authority.

That is not constitutional interpretation. That is judicial legislation.

To you, it's just a Cracker Barrel parking lot. To me, it's where I gave my life to Jesus Christ.

I was 21 years old. I was working at the Cracker Barrel in Tallahassee after some of the worst years of my life. I'd made mistakes. Real ones.

I grew up in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, raised by a mom who worked hard and didn't accept excuses. But I made decisions that should have ended my story before it ever really started. By the grace of God, they didn't. But every day, I was carrying them.

One afternoon, a church group came into the restaurant, just back from a revival. I served them their meals like I served any other table. But something happened while I was serving them. I can't fully explain it to you. The Lord spoke to me. He said, “Stop running from Me.”

It knocked me back.

I went to find the table, and they were all gone. I could see through their windows that they were getting on their bus, and I knew deep down that if I let them drive away, I was going to keep running. So I went outside. The last woman, just as she was stepping onto the bus, turned to me and asked, “Are you okay?”

I told her, “No ma’am, I’m not okay.” I told her the Lord was telling me to stop running.

That whole bus emptied out, stood with me in the parking lot of a Cracker Barrel in Tallahassee, Florida, and prayed over me right there.

I gave my life to Christ that day. Right there.

I still get emotional about it. Because I know what I was before that moment, and I know what He's done since. He gave me a wife who shares my faith. He gave me three sons. He gave me a career, a community, a calling I never would have dared to ask for. He took a kid from Crown Heights who’d run out of chances and gave him a life that doesn't make sense apart from grace.

People ask me sometimes why I talk about it. Why I bring up the parking lot. Why I don't just keep that part private and let folks see the polished version.

I'll tell you why.

Because there's a young man out there right now — maybe in Tallahassee, maybe in Tampa, maybe in Miami, maybe in a small town in the Panhandle — who thinks his story is already over. Who thinks the mistakes he's made disqualify him from the life he could have had. Who thinks God doesn't want anything to do with somebody like him.

I'm here to tell him: that's a lie.

In life, you're not who you are at the lowest point. You're who you choose to become after.

The Lord met me in a Cracker Barrel parking lot. He'll meet you wherever you are.

You just have to stop running.

Hello to all my wonderful family and friends 🥹 My goal is to give a daily update and I’m sorry I haven’t been on that. I want all of you to know that our family is able to be somewhat uplifted because of ALL OF YOU!

Here is an update on our sweet boy 💕

Andy has been surrounded all daily by family and friends, his fellow guardsmen, soldiers, airmen, US Marshals, MPD, our local sheriff’s office, and many other law-enforcement representatives. They have all been such angels to all of us 🥹

We continue to have complete faith in a total healing of our sweet Andy. He is remaining stable, with good vital signs, and while being heavily sedated, he still continues to be very active. Moving his arms, legs, and mouth. His pupils are dilating normally and his brain pressure is normal. All huge wins!

He has absolute best neurosurgeon, ICU doctor, and so many nurses that are helping to sustain him. They are absolute angels in my eyes 🥹

We know there is a long road to go, but our faith keeps us hopeful. We remain grateful for the prayers and support of people all over the world. Our God is so good and I will continue to say this…Andy will have one heck of a testimony to share with all! We are praying for faith to be renewed in those who need it and for non-believers to come to know Jesus as they witness this miracle happening with our precious boy.

Again, we love and appreciate all of you. If anyone would like to visit, just message the day and time you’d like to come so we can notify the hospital staff so we can maintain organized visitations💕

Historically providing charity was the responsibility of the church and the believers.

The church started hospitals and care for the needy, widows, and children.
Charity, Biblically is the responsibility of the believer, NOT government.
So what changed?

Income Tax and taxation of everything, seven times over.
1. People in government (brilliantly) decided to co-opt charity as an (another) excuse to convince people they had to fund government.
2. With government taking charity without choice people stopped giving to the church. You can’t be a cheerful giver if you are giving by force or obligation.
3. The church stopped believing it was their role and before we knew it we had political leaders claiming it’s a government responsibility NOT the church.

All this talk about the “necessity” of government provided healthcare is just an excuse to legalize theft and make charity compulsory.

It’s time for the church and believers to trust God not government and take back their established responsibilities.

And that (I hope) OBVIOUSLY means to engage in these activities WITHOUT accepting money from the government to do it.

Whoa unto those churches and religious organizations that accept the money of government to do God’s work!!
