Since the GOP's now seeking to expunge Trump's impeachments & whitewash/rewrite history, this serves as a reminder as to what he did that prompted the 2nd one.

@winbar157682@Anarseldain BS! The US has always been politically violent during my lifetime. In the 60s JFK, MLK, RFK were all assassinated; in the 70s there were two attempts on Gerald Ford's life; in the 80s Reagan was shot, etc, etc, etc. So don't me that hyperpartisan BS.
@JetSetGent@brianschatz@Acyn The government needed to step in and import such from Canada in order for babies to get fed & even with that there were hurdles due to prior import restrictions.
@kzshabazz@ThrillaRilla369 You were the one that initially stated doing such was "ghetto" when it fact it was normal practice in all public schools for decades both within the US and internationally purely to protect the books & save school boards money annually.
@HughEverett Even retired Supreme Court justices in allied countries have weighed in and recognize just how corrupt this SCOTUS is, reverse engineering their decisions to meet a predetermined outcome.
@TMARMANN00@BBCWorld Trump's literally the dumbest President in US history. Carney has multiple degrees from the top universities in the world and has spent decades dealing in global affairs successfully. Trump's a conman whose strength is his ability to con gullible people into believing his lies.
@BBCWorld Trump still hasn't figured out the rest of the world is neither enamored nor fearful of him. They all know he's a weak, narcissistic, morally bankrupt craven moron that can easily be manipulated & aren't about to indulge him as so many gullible and/or sycophantic Americans do.
🚨MAJOR BREAKING: Senator Chris Van Hollen just EXPOSED Trump’s “no tax on tips” promise as a total FRAUD. The bill makes sure it EXPIRES in 3 years. But the tax cuts for billionaires PERMANENT. Trump conned MAGA and working Americans got screwed!
🤣The same guy who used his $ & IT might to return the most corrupt/criminal President in US history to office because he wanted to ensure ongoing gov't investigations into his companies would get shut down & he'd still retain all his gov't contracts is now pissed at the GOP...
@BBCWorld I'm Cdn and had a pair of sandals just like those - imported from India - in the 70s. They cost less than $5 at the time, were incredibly comfortable and lasted a long time.
@TMARMANN00@BBCWorld The tax was initiated years ago and the bill for such came into law effect a year ago & only just became collectable retroactive to 2022. Carney's a hell of lot smarter than Trump & everyone else on his team so this is just a temporary measure by the Cdns.
@DrGumanSingh@BBCWorld More than likely, Canada's only delayed its ultimate collection date as that tax law was years in the making & the bill for such received royal assent & was passed into law a year ago with the collection of such due to kick in days ago, which was retroactive to 2022.
@BachSimon@BBCWorld It's not a made up tax. It's something that had been in the works for years and the bill for such received royal assent & was passed into law a year ago. The collection of such became due the other day & was retroactive to 2022.
@HughEverett The left may be the ones initiating those lawsuits because they are clearly illegal under the Constitution but the judges ruling on them have been from every political stripe.
Judge hopping is something the GOP repeatedly does, which is why they often file their cases in TX.
@brianschatz Looks like the US is going to need even more of Canada's electricity in the future, which is going to come at an even higher cost than before due to the idiot-in-chief's tariff wars with such.
@JetSetGent@brianschatz@Acyn Get real. The US has frequently experienced shortages; remember the baby formula shortage just a few years ago or more recently the price of eggs tripling due to such? There's a reason the US imports so many goods from Canada & elsewhere... it can't produce enough of it own.
@WalshFreedom As a Cdn, I find Americans need to define themselves by any given political party truly bizarre. Here, one recognizes the need for capitalism but also remains cognizant of the fact it must always be regulated to ensure a healthy balance w/ environmental & societal protections.
@LTLLADY5180@ThrillaRilla369 It was never about being poor. That was a standard practice in every public school in the US, Canada, UK, etc, starting in the 60s to protect the books & save School Boards money annually from having to replace them.
