One year into his second term, President Trump has pardoned an unusually high number of wealthy people accused of financial crimes.
And about half of the pardon recipients are either business executives or politicians. What a coincidence... https://t.co/1qAhGTIDCK
I’m 71 and I know without a doubt that what I saw carried out this weekend is a Donald Trump sanctioned execution of a Registered Nurse who came to the aid of a woman being assaulted by state police. He was shot in the back while he was on his knees. It’s fascism.
Begging you not to let Wael’s story get lost amidst all the horrors.
He was a 30 year old disabled man. His dad was his full time caregiver.
ICE took him away.
Wael said it would kill him. He said the fear was “real & immediate”.
He died last week. ICE killed Wael.
No Healthy Person Wants To Rule The World Or Become A Billionaire
We are ruled by the most dysfunctional members of our species. The most wounded, neurotic and sociopathic among us. The least wise, caring and insightful.
Reading by Tim Foley.
Ellison: "They're coming after our state because we voted 3 times for somebody who's not Donald Trump, which he has said he resents deeply and believes is not even true. I can tell you it's not about fraud ... He's sending armed, masked men. This is a pretext"
Going to jail for filming ICE raiding your neighbor's home is what FREEDOM, American Eagles, and MAGA is all about.
And we thought Russians were slaves.

Republicans in Congress are hoping we just get bored or exhausted and give up.
Fuck that‼️
Don’t forget Good and Pretti’s murders, loss of healthcare, high costs due to tariffs, loss of our allies, siding with dictators, and an out of control administration.

Wait a minute, so now we are debuting a First Lady’s @MELANIATRUMP (flop) commercial documentary movie at the White House. In the people’s house. Using government space, staff, and security to promote a for profit media project. This from the same administration that spent years clutching pearls over Hunter Biden allegedly using his last name to land a private sector advisory board seat. You cannot make this hypocrisy up.@RepJamesComer and @Jim_Jordan I will assume you are on this and will have hearings almost immediately.
Let’s be clear about what was supposedly so outrageous back then. Hunter Biden was a private citizen. He did not work in the White House. He did not have a government role. He did not host screenings, events, or promotions on federal property. There was no use of official resources to advertise a product. There was no blending of public office with private profit. Yet that was framed as a constitutional crisis.
Now compare that to what is happening here. A sitting administration using the White House as a backdrop and venue to promote a commercial documentary tied directly to the First Lady’s brand and image. That is not subtle. That is not accidental. That is the literal merging of government platform and private financial interest.
And yes, the Hatch Act matters here, despite how often it gets waved away. The Hatch Act is about preventing the use of official authority and government resources for political or personal gain. While it is true that the President and Vice President are exempt, many White House staff are not. Government property, staff time, and official channels are not supposed to be used to promote private ventures. Calling something a “documentary” does not magically exempt it from scrutiny when it is clearly a commercial product.
What makes this especially rich is that this same crowd spent years insisting that even the appearance of impropriety was disqualifying. They demanded investigations, hearings, and prosecutions over far thinner allegations. Now the standard has apparently shifted to anything goes, as long as it benefits them.
What makes the comparison unavoidable is that this pattern is not isolated. Kai Trump, the 18 year old granddaughter of the convicted felon, launched her own clothing brand in September 2025, selling $130 monogrammed sweatshirts, and filmed promotional content at the White House and on Air Force One. Again, government property and the symbols of public power were used to elevate a private brand.
So when this administration lectures anyone else about ethics, influence, or impropriety, remember this. The same people who screamed about a private citizen trading on a last name are now openly turning the White House into a backdrop for commercial ventures tied to the first family. The relationship between these events is the point. The outrage was never about ethics, it was about who was benefiting.
@PressSec how about some reporting on this? Not a promotional piece like you would for the movie itself, but the actual trading on the last name.
@GovPressOffice Florida and Texas are the most corrupt states in America but let's just PRETEND theyre not and send the equivalent of an armed army brigade to Minnesota.
@GovPressOffice Will they be prosecuted or will they have their case dismissed by Bondi or just a preemptive pardon by Trump for a considerable remuneration?
