There wasn't a dry eye in the Birdman owners' group when the Irish import stormed home to claim the $1m Group 1 Doomben Cup last Saturday but for widow Leah Timms, the moment was as devastating as it was extraordinary.

Autumn Glow has come through yesterday’s run well, which has been pleasing to see.
I’m disappointed for the horse, as she gave everything in the race, but I simply got her distance range wrong. I apologise to everyone for that — we’ll accept defeat graciously and come back better.
We will now look ahead to the spring, where Autumn Glow can shine again. I’ll speak with the owners, map out an exciting preparation, and keep you updated.
Congratulations to Sir Delius and their team on a brilliant win.
@widdenstud@TheSharkTweet So good of Widden to acknowledge Pat’s dedication and commitment to their team! So many people get forgotten. The racing/breeding industry has so many people come and go..(just staying for visa/88 day requirements) it’s a big achievement to have someone stay that long!!!
Autumn Glow was destined for greatness.

What a day 🙌
A huge day for the stable, kicked off by Birdman winning dominantly at Flemington as he sets his sights on upcoming features at the elite level. That was followed by a nail biting finish in the Group 2 Skyline Stakes, with Campione D’Italia digging deep to prevail over debutante Central Europe.
The perfect finale to the day came with Autumn Glow continuing her unbeaten rise, taking out the G1 Verry Elleegant Stakes.
Congratulations to all connections and a massive well done to the entire team — days like this are what it’s all about ✨🏆
