K9 Dexter passed away on June 20, 2026, from natural causes. He served with the Polk County Sheriff's Office K9 Unit from May 2015 until his retirement in August 2024.
During his time in service, Dexter worked in patrol, narcotics, and alongside SWAT. He was responsible for 36 contact apprehensions and more than 230 total captures, reflecting the critical role he played in protecting his community.

Thank you for your service Dexter. Your watch has ended, and you will not be forgotten. 🙏🐾

We continue to receive good news, but Yolanda is not out of the woods just yet. But we are 💯 getting there.

Her liver numbers have dramatically improved, but they are still very abnormal, and there are also signs of low albumin / poor protein status, mild kidney strain, and a metabolic acidosis pattern.

Her medical team is working hard 24/7 to lower the risk of sepsis. The goal is really to prevent infections, catch them early, and treat them fast. Sepsis is the body’s extreme response to an infection, and it is a medical emergency.

Her City of Hope surgeons and medical oncologists have checked in on her daily.

📍 OWASSO, Ok — Veteran Don Vaught is facing mounting property taxes and funeral costs after losing his wife of 60 years, and his family is asking the community to help him stay in the home they built together.

Don and his wife Marilyn purchased this home back in 1978.

After over 4 decades of memories in the home Marilyn tragically passed away on May 28 after a horrific fall.

Now living only on Social Security, Don faces mounting property taxes and funeral costs he cannot afford.

"I don't have the money, it's social security and that's what I've got to live on for the rest of my life," Don said.

His grandson Aaron started a GoFundMe to help Don stay in the home.

On August 16, 2012, SO1 (SEAL) Patrick Feeks was one of seven American service members who were KIA, during a mission to push out insurgents and improve security in an area northeast of Kandahar, Afghanistan.
