I have a notebook where I make a note of some of the comments I hear from women in my clinic, and I want to share some of them with you. The first image is from women when I first met them, and the second is of women when I have seen them again and they are established on a treatment plan that is individualised for them.
It’s incredibly sad and frustrating knowing that so many women get to such a low point, but also incredibly rewarding when I am able to help them. I wish I could help everyone, and that’s why a huge part of my work is trying to reach and support women on a global scale.
I will not stop until I have reached my mission of improving the future health of women.
3/4 We owe patients in mental health wards, who are among the most vulnerable in our society, safe and compassionate care. We owe their families and carers the reassurance that we are looking after their loved ones with integrity and kindness.
2/4 Patients with a serious mental illness, learning disability and autism, are being let down by services with devastating consequences for them, their families and carers.

* Menopause has for too long been a taboo subject. Too many have suffered in silence, afraid to talk to their partners, families, friends and colleagues.
* We are proud to be part of a growing community who are working to break the taboo and we share their stories on our website.
It’s not just for men!
Women produce testosterone too. When levels reduce, such as when going through the menopause, it can impact on their sexual arousal and response, bone strength, heart healthy brain performance and energy levels.
