Someone once told me, “The ending of a relationship is often hidden somewhere in the beginning.” I never forgot that. Sometimes, the signs are there from day one we just get too hopeful, attached, or in love to notice them.
Have to keep thanking God for my mother yes. Extremely blessed just by that alone. And then He went ahead and gave me an amazing family and great friends. Blessed beyond measure.
someone said "if you don't let people experience the consequences of their actions towards u, you will remain a safe place for their worst behavior" and I couldn't agree more
Nobody talks about the personality shift in your 30s where you no longer want to be impressive, you just want to be rested, regulated, and completely unavailable to anything that drains you
let your final act of love be the silence that they always wanted. no more begging for their time, replies or effort. step back and let them feel the space where your love used to be. and you, heal.
Some of y'all think you'll make good partners because you won't cheat but don't realize you're inconsiderate, unappreciative, manipulative, insecure, lack empathy, have poor communication skills, harboring emotional trauma from your past
my mom once told me “accountability will always feel like an attack when you are not ready to acknowledge how your behavior harms others” and that shit is real.
Once I've addressed the situation multiple times & it's no changed behavior, I stop caring. It's above me now. People treat you exactly how they feel about you & on top of that you heard me & seen how it affected me the first time. At some point in life you have to know your worth & stop letting people play with you like that.
My favourite pastime is deciding this is the last time someone or something, is going to make me feel this way—or this is the last time someone will hear from me—and doing just that.
