A shocking rumour I've recently heard.

Joe Lewis had only a 10-minute call with Daniel Levy to dismiss him immediately after running the club for over 20 Years.

Some of the reasons are quite concerning, including financial mismanagement and misuse. If it's true the club is in trouble on and off the field.

Or is this a tactical move by Joe Lewis to dilute Daniel Levy's shares by increasing capital and have full control and then sell?????? Who will win the battle, for sure not the Fans……..

⚪️ Winstanley – Palmer, Caicedo, Cucurella (At Chelsea). Built Brighton's recruitment machine alongside De Zerbi. Knows the system better than anyone. Locked at Chelsea till 2031.

⚪️ Tiago Pinto – Dybala (free), Huijsen (£12.6M → £60M). Operated under Iraola. Comfortable executing the manager's vision, not competing with it.

⚪️ Ayto – Arsenal decade under Edu. Data-first. Left Brighton recently. Wildcard with an 11-year Vinai connection.

The problem: Lange oversaw back-to-back 17th-place finishes and a disastrous January window that nearly cost us our PL status. The club has done a U-turn. He's likely on his way out or into a reduced handover role.

That changes everything. The next appointment isn't maintenance. It's a rebuild. Only two names fit that profile.

Tiago Pinto: Built his career around executing a manager's vision, not imposing his own. Huijsen at £12.6M. Dybala on a free. Nunez at Benfica for £20M before Liverpool paid £85M. A club coming off 17th cannot afford to overpay. Pinto's skillset is built for exactly that constraint.

Paul Winstanley: The argument is simple. He already built a recruitment machine with De Zerbi at Brighton. Palmer, Caicedo, Cucurella (At Chelsea). Knows the system, the profiles, the demands. The problem is structural. Locked at Chelsea until 2031 with no indication they'd let him walk.

Final verdict is this: Winstanley is the better football mind for De Zerbi's system on paper. But Pinto is the realistic answer. Available, PL-adapted, comfortable under a dominant manager, proven at extracting value. For a club rebuilding from 17th, that matters more than the ideal. 🤍
