@ThorTorrens@Chilearmy123 I know a lot of people who shoplift cookie dough in their pants and they all use monero sooooo i guess i'm smarter than zcash devs
@Chilearmy123 OK and criminals are dumb. Wild that this seemed like a good argument. My friend used to buy molly with btc and the evidence is still there on chain.
Imagine being so deep in a cult that you call a proof of work, no premine, privacy coin a shitcoin and then have absolutely no clue that Hal wanted it to exist back in 1993 when he wrote:
โCryptography can make possible a world in which people have control over information about themselves, not because government has granted them that control, but because only they possess the cryptographic keys to reveal that information..
..The goal of electronic cash is to allow these same kinds of private transactions to take place electronically"
From Protecting Privacy with Electronic Cash
Zoko remembers because he's a real cypherpunk that grew up with Hal, Adam and the rest. The Bitcoin Maxi cargo cult doesn't. They bought an orange coin because Mike told them it will make them rich.
I sat down with Michael Green, Chief Strategist at Simplify Asset Management, former Logica Capital, ex-Thiel Macro.
The man who built the passive investing critique that broke Wall Street's biggest assumption now has Bitcoin in his crosshairs.
"Bitcoin's system is a failure. It was reinvented as a speculative monster. It'll eventually collapse. And I really could care less."
This isn't a random hater. @profplum99 has run the simulations on the network and is simply not buying it.
He's been published by the central bank research desks. He came on the show to argue that the entire financial system is about to break.
The brutal case against Bitcoin from someone who understands market structure better than 99% of the people defending it.

Hi. It's a new day for Zcash!
The entire former ECC team is now Zcash Open Development Lab (ZODL), and we are rebranding the Zashi wallet to Zodl.
You don't need to do a thing, the app will rebrand with the next update.
This is just a start. Big things to come.
Cryptos that use energy consumption to secure the network or an AI company whose every query is done via consumption, where is the energy coming from? What form?
Early Recognition: Satoshi cited Zooko's work on MojoNation (a P2P file-sharing system) as a reference on the original https://t.co/KTxkWG6RHI site (archived March 2009). Zooko also wrote one of the first blog posts about Bitcoin in January 2009, which Satoshi linked to.
Zooko engaged directly with Satoshi on the BitcoinTalk forum, discussing technical aspects like privacy enhancements. 1 example, August 2010, Satoshi responded to a thread involving zk proofs for privacy, a topic Zooko later advanced in Zcash.
Both were active on the Cryptography Mailing List (https://t.co/aTNIyFBvIb) in late 2008. Zooko posted about decentralized digital cash just hours before Satoshi's Bitcoin announcement, and he offered his P2P-Hackers mailing list for related discussions, which Satoshi used.
