I feel like she's just talking about confessional lyricism here, there's music in songwriting too you know, not just lyrics... the emotion and the voice of the singer, the melody is also songwriting, and confessional can come from those things too.

songwriting and lyricism are different things, she's an EXCELLENT lyricist, like you just know she is well-read on classical literature, songwriting-wise, tloasg is really horrible to her image as a songwriter...
