🫖 A trailer for short drama 'Sonder: I am not an NPC', produced by Zhao Lusi, has drawn attention after cnetz noticed its audio track closely resembles the original Pursuit of Jade trailer.
And it’s apparently not just the BGM... comparisons point to the same music and editing beats alongside individual sound effects appearing in the same places, including a kiss “pop” and the sound of firecrackers. After removing the dialogue and layering the two trailers together, cnetz say much of the remaining audio lines up almost exactly.
The Sonder trailer has since been deleted, but there’s been no official explanation... so while the overlap certainly looks substantial, whether the audio was taken from the Pursuit of Jade trailer itself or both used the same licensed/shared production resources remains unclear.
@Daffydre2 The title of this movie is "The Traveler" (2024) (异人之下), the movie adaptation of the live-action series "I Am Nobody", which itself is based on the webcomic "The Outcast".
@Jess1361202 Using age as an insult is strange when longevity is exactly what separates a real career from a passing trend. She’s in her 30s, still leading dramas and respected within the industry, while others peak at 20 and burn out just as quickly, losing the very respect they once had.
@baobei_lyn Resorting to “are you dumb” pretty much proves who’s actually losing the argument, thanks for confirming that. If you’re going to accuse “LYT fans” as a whole, then you also need to acknowledge the ZLS fans who falsely accused LYT of plagiarism and mocked her in return.
@baobei_lyn If you’re calling out illness-related insults, then call all of them out, including the ones thrown while accusing LYT of plagiarism. You don’t get to cherry-pick only what makes you look like the victim.
@baobei_lyn You keep saying I “ignored the Ss,” but you’re ignoring who escalated first. Screenshots don’t rewrite the fact that this didn’t start as neutral wardrobe critique.
@baobei_lyn And no I’m not “rewriting the story.” I just refuse to let you cherry-pick events to make yourselves look innocent.
If you’re going to play the sympathy card, at least own up to the punches thrown first.
@baobei_lyn Changing the timeline to suit your narrative is gaslighting. You don’t get to rewrite history, throw the first accusation, then act like the victim when people push back. Accountability isn’t a one-way street.
@LuannaIlse@baobei_lyn And yes , bringing ZLS’s illness into it is wrong. But you also can’t weaponize it as a shield after being the ones to attack first. When you throw punches, you’re bound to meet a few fans who punch back just as hard. Actions have reactions.
@LuannaIlse@baobei_lyn You can’t claim “it was just about wardrobe” when the behavior went far beyond that. LYT herself was mocked and dragged by name, her fans targeted, and her reputation attacked. That’s not a neutral critique of styling — that’s shifting blame onto an actress to justify fan-wars.
@baobei_lyn Not all backlash is baseless, agreed. But not all backtracking is guilt either.
“Misinformation” isn’t a shield, it’s a reality when assumptions are turned into conclusions without context. Sometimes changes are made simply to stop noise from drowning out the actual work.
@baobei_lyn Changing the styling doesn’t automatically equal guilt. It’s done to avoid unnecessary drama. If they hadn’t changed it, people would say “arrogant and unresponsive,” but once they do change it, you call it “admission.” What exactly is the response you expected?
