Fact filled take on the Gordie Howe Bridge from the conservative Republican former Michigan Governor who negotiated the bridge deal.
As he points out, even though Canada paid for 100% of the bridge, Michigan owns half of it.
As he says, "To my friends in Canada, thank you for financing the GHIB and for many other areas of friendship. Canada has been a stalwart partner on this massive project through multiple governments on both sides of the Detroit River. It is a big win-win for all of us."

1 - Trump has threatened to crush Canadian auto plants, multiple times. ("We don't need their cars" etc.) There are a ton of jobs at stake in Ontario. Do Americans think Canada will just wait 3 years and see what happens?
Who is the target for this kind of whining? They did it. It happened. It happened because Canada doesn't view the US as a stable trading partner, because of Trump. Come up with any story that you want.
5 - The Trump administration's clear belief is that industrial manufacturing capacity in sectors like automotive is ALSO important to defense capacity.
So why is it surprising to Americans that other countries might believe the same thing?
4 - Those who understand the industry know that if the assembly plants leave, the parts jobs will go too.
And so would a lot of advanced manufacturing knowledge and technology.
