I'm making a Dungeons And Dragons-style turn-based combat game where you play as Janice, a rat lady who just wants to grocery shop without talking to anyone.

Janice will have to navigate the grocery store to actually shop for items while facing off against strangers who all want to start a conversation with her. Janice has moves like "bonk," "ignore," and "glare," and will need to navigate conversations using DnD-style skill checks.
Some more art assets I finished this weekend. Still need to pick a font before I can make the text-based letters or text for the polaroids players find.

I'm thinking through how Rat Boy can walk directionally if I keep it a side scroller. I'm thinking I add frames as a parallax layer that players move through and put a "door" where you reappear on the next level up facing the opposite direction.
