@linkkling @B3r1x Because "Alpha" has an unambiguous "A" sound in whatever English accent you could possibly speak, same with the "B" in Bravo, etc.

This is why, for example to send a plane heading northwest-ish they say "heading two niner zero" to mean "290" -- because "nine" and "nein" sound

@ohhrosie @CRELeasingLawTX @tennisbish At least in Italy's case, I read somewhere that they wanted a design inspired by the French revolutionary tricolor, but explicitly *not* with Savoy blue (hence the green).

As far as "why green", or "what's up with the Netherlands not having orange" idk! 🤔

You need to add special characters like !@#$%^&*()-={}|;'<>/,. and you need to have no words, or things easily substitutable for words ("hello" and "h3ll0" are just as bad), and each extra cha racter of length gives you multiplicatively more protection than before

(The church where +Hartmayer was installed and has celebrated a lot of ordinations has ~2x the seating capacity of the cathedral; ~1300 vs ~700. Why deprive ~600 people of the chance to be there if by moving you can accommodate them? That seems to be the thought process)

1. Start with (in decimal) the number of (whole) hands, i.e., groupings of 4" you can get, and then
2. Express the remainder in base 4
