Congratulations to the Black Stars on their victory over Panama in their opening match of the FIFA World Cup 2026 in Toronto.
This victory reflects the hard work and preparation that go into representing Ghana on the world stage. It has inspired hope among Ghanaians everywhere.
On behalf of the Government and people of Ghana, I assure the team of our support as they continue in the tournament. I urge the Black Stars to remain focused and united. The nation stands behind them and looks forward to more successes.
Congratulations once again, Black Stars, and may you continue to bring honour to Ghana.
THE PRE-BAR COURSE
Act 1170 aims at improving professional law training. It has two steps for achieving this aim. The first is to, upfront, abolish the monopoly of the Ghana School of Law over professional law training. The Act has achieved that.
The Act’s second step is to established a more efficient and democratised regime which allows accredited universities to offer professional law training to eligible students. The process for achieving this second aim of the Act has started.
There is, however, a need for a transition from the old regime to the new. This transition, as provided for in the Act, is in respect of (a) current LLB students who will graduate before the start of the new regime and (b) those who have already graduated and have been waiting.
This is where the Pre-Bar Course (PBC) comes in. Simply, the PBC allows the transition students to, while waiting for the start of the new regime, take some selected subjects with the universities IN ADVANCE. What are these subjects?
These are subjects which the transition students would, without the PBC, have to wait and take later when the new regime starts. These subjects, when taken, will be credited to them when they eventually enrol in the new regime to take the national bar exam.
@SIKAOFFICIAL1 This just tells me that the legal practitioners are not doing a good job in the society but just have the title. People clearly don’t know what the law says unless they find themselves in trouble
