Hey #fsharp people, with @JetBrainsRider becoming free for non-commercial use it's a great time to give it a try! Rider is packed with lots of smart F# features, like refactorings and analyzers, provides great code navigation, and excels at mixed F# and C# codebases
It's so cool to see what @dedsec256 does with #fsharp language injections in the upcoming @JetBrainsRider release! I'm really looking forward to it :)

We’ve got new #fsharp postfix completion templates coming in @JetBrainsRider 2023.1. Let Rider quickly write the boilerplate of a new loop or match, while you deal with the data
@isaac_abraham@verdonckflorian It seemed to me that formatting consistency is guaranteed by the .editorconfig file, which is also supported by Rider. So, for example, in order not to depend on editors and Fantomas defaults, you can add settings (like ident_size/max_line_length) also in .editorconfig
@isaac_abraham@verdonckflorian Currently, if an .editorconfig for F# is defined, the settings are taken from it. Otherwise, the Rider settings take precedence over the default Fantomas settings.
We will think about the possibility of using only Fantomas.
@isaac_abraham@verdonckflorian Could you please file an issue with your formatting settings and a code sample where the formatting is different?

in Rider SDK 2022.1, the NuGetDotnetToolsTracker component will be implemented, that solves the task of tracking and restoring dotnet-tools (

Fleet is an IDE and a lightweight editor. It’s flexible and polyglot, with support for collaboration and remote workflows. It’s built from scratch but uses the @intellijidea code-processing engine for smart code editing. Read more and join the Preview https://t.co/pbERl3NvV7
Introduce Variable refactoring got several updates in @JetBrainsRider 2021.3.
Pattern matching #fsharp tuple values is now possible, and there're new options for values inside computation expressions!
