At the SB62 climate talks in Bonn, CAN Africa joined an action demanding real adaptation finance for the Global South—delivered as grants, not loans, and sourced from public finance, not private investments. For frontline communities, adaptation is not a policy debate—it is a matter of survival.

CAN Africa stands firmly with this call. Climate finance must put people over profit and respond to the urgent needs of those already facing the harshest impacts. There is no just climate action without justice in adaptation finance.

When I wished for the trees to grow and thrive, she assured us she would tend to them so well that we would one day enjoy the Avocado 🥑fruits together- she spoke a blessing to us.

My team @GGI_Kenya and I were distributing grafted hass avocado tree seedlings to over 150 households in this wonderful community in Kinaiu village, Karima ward.

Moments like these reaffirm the impact of our work and the deep appreciation within our communities - we will continue carrying this through to more communities. ❤️💚
