The Fourth Amendment does not expire with inflation.
It does not pause at the border.
And it does not bend to whichever crisis the government invokes this decade.
It’s time for Americans to know that the Bank Secrecy Act is really the Bank Surveillance Act.
Everything on the internet will require an ID check soon.
And the government will monitor everything you do, pretending they don't need a warrant because you "voluntarily" gave your data and identity information away.
Most people think HIPAA protects their medical privacy.
It doesn't.
It governs how your health data gets shared, not whether it does.
Once collected, your information moves through systems you'll never see, for purposes you never approved.
He built a nationwide surveillance network tracking millions of cars.
And then called anyone who wants to know where these cameras are "terrorists".
This is the new normal -- cameras tracking your every move, and if you try to push back you become a target.
I've seen a few people trying to defend @BambulabGlobal's bullying of an open source developer over completely legal AGPL code use...
Now @conservancy is raising funds to stop companies like Bambu Labs from abusing the AGPL and open source devs: https://t.co/bGDJUC6whp
The government doesn't need a warrant to track you. Your finances, movements, even whom you pray with, protest with, or sleep with — it can just be bought from data brokers.
It's because of the 3rd-Party Doctrine loophole. Here's how the loophole works, and how it can be closed.
Privacy is the foundation of a free society.
Without it, we can't protest safely, speak our mind, push back, hold powerful people to account.
Privacy is what protects us.
If we eliminate it, freedom is the next thing we lose.
We need to stop the erosion of privacy.
It's insane that the government can just bypass warrant requirements by purchasing access to everything you do.
The Surveillance Accountability Act fixes this.

A Chinese court has made a big decision about AI and jobs, companies cannot fire workers just to replace them with artificial intelligence and save money.
This ruling comes from recent cases in Beijing where employees lost their jobs after their companies started using AI.
The judges said these firings were wrong because using AI does not count as a major enough change under China’s labor laws.
The law needs a real big reason in the business before a company can easily end a job contract.
Because of this, the courts overturned the dismissals and the workers kept their jobs.
The ruling reminds companies that they must treat employees fairly and responsibly and helps protect people’s jobs
Today Republicans and Democrats tried to use “unanimous consent” to pass a 45-day extension of warrantless spying on Americans without voting.
I did not consent.
I was able to force a vote and a debate. I used a rare parliamentary procedure to control half the time. Watch here:
Absolute bombshell on Fox News. Former NSA Counsel Glenn Gerstell admits the FBI is sweeping up the private emails and phone calls of innocent Americans. Washington is actively exploiting a massive loophole to conduct warrantless domestic surveillance on its own citizens.
The government rifles through your data without a warrant and calls it "not a search" because someone else stores it.
The Surveillance Accountability Act eliminates the 3rd-Party Doctrine. It defines "search" and ends the charade.
