बड़ा सवाल यह है कि अगर दोनों चुनाव आयुक्त इन फैसलों को गलत या गैरकानूनी मानते थे, तो उन्हें रोकने के लिए क्या किया? क्या चुपचाप असहमति दर्ज करना पर्याप्त था, या यह भी जवाबदेही का सवाल है?

जिस परिवार की कमाई का बड़ा हिस्सा राशन, दवा, बच्चों की फीस, गैस और रोज़मर्रा की जरूरतों में चला जाता है, उसकी परेशानी कौन दिखाएगा?

और बिहार को देखिए…
एक तरफ़ पानी में डूबे घर, बर्बाद फसलें और राहत का इंतज़ार करते 50 लाख लोग बाढ़ से प्रभावित हैं।
दूसरी तरफ़ उसी बिहार में जन्मदिन के अवसर पर ‘आशीर्वाद का दीया’ जलाने के कार्यक्रम हो रहे हैं।
सवाल जन्मदिन मनाने का नहीं है।
सवाल प्राथमिकताओं का है।

जब जनता महंगाई से परेशान हो,
जब बाढ़ में घर डूब रहे हों,
जब परिवार राशन और दवाइयों के लिए संघर्ष कर रहे हों-

तब मीडिया का कैमरा सिर्फ़ जश्न पर क्यों रहे?

एक दिया साहब के जन्मदिन के लिए सही…
लेकिन उस परिवार के चूल्हे के लिए ? जिसमें आज खाना बनाने के लिए तेल तक नहीं है।
जश्न मनाइए, शुभकामनाएँ दीजिए-
लेकिन जनता की तकलीफ़ को जश्न की रोशनी में छिपाइए मत।
