@Spearhead_Af I imagine this is probably beyond what the west wants. Do we have the infrastructures to trade within? Our borders and customs controls are Byzantine, and worse towards fellow African countries. We can’t apportion sole blame to the west, we’re not absolved from this.
We have very much forgotten or do not even understand that the government is here to protect our rights, to provide services that we pay for with our hard earned money in taxes, we must therefore hold them to account.

If the Nigerian government cannot guarantee the safety of its citizens being deployed for NYSC, the program should be scrapped, better yet graduates should refuse deployment and not register for a program that risk them losing their lives. They are so out of touch from reality.
Madagascar military broke ranks from the government and refused orders to fire on protesters but rather repositioned itself to protect them. The Nigerian military on the contrary shoots its children when they demand accountability and a better life from its government, Zombies.
