I'm not even joking but you can practice listening by watching state tv evening news, xinwenlianbo (on YT). Other stuff could be localized accents which from my understanding, is difficult for Chinese learners since it's a tonal language.

The gamification of language learning did a huge disservice to the language learning community.

"Bite sized lessons", "only five minutes a day", "the only thing you need is this app".

You can't learn a language by spending five minutes on it daily.
