🔴 THE STORY
Casey has gone toe-to-toe with one of the VFL's best. The Demons have matched GWS around the ball and actually lead disposals, clearances and marks at quarter time.

🔵 AFL WATCH
- Joel Fitzgerald: 12 disposals, 4 inside 50s and 4 clearances in an outstanding first quarter. The mid-season recruit looked right at home from the opening bounce.

- Max Heath: 10 hit outs as Casey won the clearance count 10-7. His combination with Fitzgerald gave the Demons first use all quarter.

- Riley Onley: 6 disposals at 100 per cent efficiency. The move into defence continues to pay off, with Onley looking increasingly comfortable in defence.

🔴 KEY TREND
Casey's much-maligned clearance game is winning. The Demons lead clearances 10-7, disposals 98-94 and inside 50s 15-11, but GWS has spent over 22 minutes in front and punished a few defensive lapses to stay narrowly ahead.
