Thank you @lakewilcoxps for the lovely parade yesterday. The cheering, claps and honking made the streets in our community come alive yesterday. It was lovely seeing all the staff, ex staff (Mrs.Burns) and students waving out to us. This means a lot, truly!
Such an amazing afternoon. Everyone worked so hard to decorate their vehicles sending positive messages to students and families. It was so wonderful to see our #lakewilcox community and their beautiful smiles!
The LWPS Staff Parade was amazing. It was incredible to see so many students and their families, as well as other members of the community, enjoying the parade of cars. We loved your signs and all of the noisemakers! It was so special! ❤ #Wemissyou#stillateam#schoolspirit
Thursday April 23rd is Team Kindness Day at Lake Wilcox Public School. Wear your favourite jerseys while learning at home! We may not be together but we are still a team! Be kind and be well. We miss you! #teamkindness@yrdsb https://t.co/T77dPSGnUl
Congratulations to Mr. Masih for receiving the 2020 YES I Can! Paraprofessional of the Year Award in recognition for being an educator who always takes the time to get to know and connect with all students at LWPS and truly values inclusivity. #connected#inclusive#proud@YRDSB
@flyingmonkey13 Someone wrote that they thought they didn't clean or exercise because they didn't have the time. They now know that time wasn't the problem! Too funny!
3 things for teachers to remember:
1) Don’t put too much pressure on yourself. It’s not a time for perfection; it’s a time for grace.
2) The students would still love to hear from you. Stay connected if you can.
3) Take care of yourself and your family. They’re still your #1.
We've missed our LWPS families! We hope that you are all healthy & safe. Looking so forward to learning with you online! See how much we've missed you: https://t.co/lznhR89aVt
#YRDSB is working with the Ministry of Govt./Consumer Services to take inventory of medical supplies in our schools.
The Ministry will then distribute these supplies to where they are needed most throughout our province.
Sharing is caring. We are all in this together!
We can apply this to our student's behaviours, as well. When we realize that they aren't doing it 'on purpose' but rather as a reaction to the stress that they are experiencing.
