@lvlytammy I’m not very familiar with Olivia Rodrigo, but I get your point. Like I’ve mentioned in an other comment, I look at the genres from a musical standpoint, especially song structure and its complexity and other things like key changes and stuff
@sophmrqry It’s all about how you define the genre, my definition of pop music is unnecessarily analytical, it’s just that Queen songs are somewhat complex and pop songs in general tend to have a more simple structure :D (which doesn’t mean it’s bad ofc, I listen to simpler songs myself)
Off topic side note: I’ve been learning English for about 14 years and I’m still not sure when to use present perfect simple and when to use present perfect continuous, like what do you need so many tenses for
I personally have very mixed feelings, it sounds way more powerful, which is nice, but the pitch correction and stuff… I don’t know. Also the vocals are somewhat loud and then basically go much quieter in the chorus? Why would they do that?
