@OilersNation McDavid gave them a $5 million discount last summer, which can we can say is the 4-5 million deal you say Nurse should have. Then they immediately (same day) gave Frederic 3.5x8 and Walman 7x7. So how much better would they be if Nurse was cheaper? None. None better
This isn’t the team of 2025 or 2024. They have gotten worse every year and the way to getting better isn’t trading first round picks to dump salary or trading for lateral goaltending. The window isn’t closed, but there’s a cold draft coming in. Anaheim and SJ are on the rise.

Fans of 27 other NHL teams that would give their left eye to go to back to back Stanley Cup Finals sure are vocal about the Oilers not being good enough
@SafewayCanada Why is your gas in Grande Prairie 13 cents more than every other pump around? The federal tax credit took effect and they raised their prices right before it happened. Absolutely shameful. I guess I’ll spend $45 on a small bag of groceries elsewhere. Crooks
@yyzsportsmedia Are you suggesting that James Duthie would run a joke into the ground? I think I speak for all viewers when I saw we haven't heard "is there ketchup on that?" near enough. Also, can we see more of Biron getting shot by a t shirt cannon?
@DarrenWHaynes@EricFrancis I couldn’t even finish reading the article. Infuriating. Lots of “what fans don’t understand”. We’ve been more than understanding, Don. Nothing about this team screams “winner”. No one is asking to tear it to the studs. Just get some actual impact players instead of 14-18 overall
Mark Carney’s speech tonight was a horrible mistake.
It’s been 6 months since the election and 8 months since he became Prime Minister.
All he did tonight is remind everyone that he hasn’t done a thing since he’s been elected.
@DarrenWHaynes This is the best possible outcome. They have good pieces but outside of the goalie and maybe Parekh, they have no gamebreakers. They've been in the 10-15 range for as long as I can remember. Be bad and embrace it. No guarantees it works, but clearly this isnt working either
@Walkoffpodcast@death2likes An infield single after a bad throw and an intentional walk (by the manager) are technically his runs I guess. Gilbert was on short rest, so that I get. Different strokes for different folks I guess. I just find it funny that games are close until JS starts managing the pitching
@Walkoffpodcast@death2likes IMO there’s no scenario where Varland is better there than Trey. And the scoreboard proves it. How many times does JS have to get it wrong with his bullpen? He learned nothing from the Berrios incident a few years ago. And I’m a 90s baseball fan.
Happy Thanksgiving good sir
@Walkoffpodcast@death2likes Strongly disagree with you. Schneider manages scared and cautious. He doesn’t let his starters work through jams. If you don’t do it in June, why are you doing it in October when it gave you the best record in the AL? Baseball is baseball regardless of the month. Play that way
