@realSi_jeff Who decides what a property is worth?
Given that a house is only worth what someone will actually pay for it - there will be significant discrepancies in valuations, with Estate Agents regularly over-estimating value and valuers for mortgages being much more pessimistic.
@CraigMurrayOrg Basic adherence to normal procurement processes would have ruled them and their business recommendation as too risky to award a contract to.
All procurement safeguards were ignored during COVID. The govt ministers (Gove etc) who facilitated this disaster should be jailed.
@PamelaHensley22 Saw the video of her trying to walk out of a hotel recently, in high heels.
Looked like she was one wobble away from falling into the gutter.
I suppose she is short and wants big heels but for safety sake she should reconsider.
She’s one fall away from a broken hip!
@rslobjects@TrumpTruthOnX American tech companies are happy to take money from European customers but move their money to low tax regimes outside of Europe to avoid paying business taxes like any normal operating business in Europe does.
This tax avoidance is taking the piss and must stop.
@glenn_tunes Of course, Mr T promised that tariffs would bring in so much money that he would be sending everyone a $2000 cheque and ultimately would be able to reduce taxes.
That hasn't happened and he denies he promised the cheque.
@VigilantFox The twenty point plan will significantly enrich Trump and his buddies. The construction work will be enormous.
It may be the best (only) game in town, but the grifters will have a total feeding frenzy.
@moving_charlie@FairerShare Property sites' valuations are useless. They were never right but now are a total joke.
They either say my house hasn't gone up in 5 years, is worth a lot more than I paid for it a year ago or calculate it has gone up a bit from an unrealistic number to begin with.
@mechanical_4u Rolls Royce designs, manufactures and builds these kinds of engines. They are all leading edge tech built to the highest standards.
Rolls Royce is not a US company.
@mikecmorgan Regular fiddling with the nose indicates an irritation.
He may have a headcold and a runny nose or hay-fever - or some other irritant may be causing it to itch and drip.
@Jeremy_Hunt Being in or out of Europe is not simply about economics.
What we may gain from trade deals outside the European framework, we lose from the economies of scale from being a group member when it comes to defence, education, standards, travel, work opportunities etc
@RichardGCorbett Its taken far too long and I don't expect the British tax payer will ever get the money back.
Also she should have her title removed - people like her and their undeserved honours, make a mockery of the system.
@history99917180 I'd heard about a biker who slid down the road on his back and buttocks and had most of his bottom completely shredded off his body.
It won't re-grow!
@stuey_beef Obviously the personal allowance should be unfrozen. It has been frozen now for five years and is planned to remain frozen until 2031.
Annual inflation has steadily eroded the value of the personal allowance, hence this nonsense situation where the pension will be taxed.
@TonyBenge70@politvidchannel Cute and exactly how it does work.
The BBC's lawyers do a 'drains up' analysis of Trump's financials and whether his reputation suffered or his career was undermined by the broadcast - and show that there was no reputational damage and Trump is making more money than ever before
