Friendly reminder that we all have to keep voicing our concerns about a digital-only future without ownership and proper customer protection law under EVERY post from PlayStation. Just because they want to play deaf doesn't mean we should go silent. Make a stand now or never!
This is just marketing bluster. If they were serious about Hardcore being the intended way to play, they would have made that difficulty the default setting. But because that would hurt sales, they need to pull back. This is them trying to have their cake and eat it, too.
What's the intended difficulty for Gears of War: E-Day? "I can tell you right now, it's Hardcore" says The Coalition creative director

Florence Pugh ardently spoke out on social media about an alleged sexual assault that took place in 2024 at Cornell University, later noting that her post had been “censored“ by Instagram.
After sharing her initial statement, Pugh noted that posts appeared to be “censored,“ writing later on Sunday, ”Am I being censored for talking about rape?”
In attempting to review Pugh’s earlier post, users were given a sensitive content warning by the social media site that obscures the content of the post. THR has reached out to Meta for comment, but has yet to hear back.

Josh Gad speaks up about 7 men gang raping a woman at the Cornell University:
“When we start setting a precedent that our girls and women can be brutally raped, and the resulting disciplinary action is to hand out (checks notes) ESSAYS (like it's Bart Simpson being a lil' rascal), about why it was wrong to brutally violate an innocent girl, we have lost our fucking minds.
[...]
This isn't an Oopsie Daisy. It's the destruction of a life. And we are sending a profoundly disturbing message with our inability to hold anyone accountable that this is OK. Fuck that. Enough.”
The Patient Zero video is finally out in the world! Getting to work with Emmanuel Lubezki was something out of a dream sequence, and I learned so much from getting to watch his genius in action. I want to thank Dakota and Colin for trusting me with their time, taste, and talent (Giggling with your friend because you’re twinning for an entire shoot was a new and truly delightful experience). And Colin’s turn as a villain is even more impressive when you get to be around him. He’s an absolute light and as kind as they come. Cara, thank you for agreeing to play the lusty other woman. That’s what friends are for?
With the Patient Zero video, I got to explore the cinematic and literary genres I love so much. I wanted to incorporate elements of gothic ghost stories, true crime, psychological thrillers all in a setting I hadn’t really shot in much. The house was a metaphor for the coldness of a relationship that’s faded and atrophied. Thank you to Ethan Tobman for your insightful production design, and bringing that feeling to life. My editor Chancler Haynes has outdone himself. And lastly, thank you to the VMAs for giving us a World Premiere at the place where celebrating music videos became a thing. And so much love for you guys, always. Watch now on https://t.co/5gUyQ8yBJf
Anthony Mackie says Chris Evans let him read the "Avengers: Endgame" script early, which revealed how he’d become Captain America:
“Chris Evans is somebody who I hold near and dear. We’re at Chris’ house, and because he’s Captain America, he gets the [script] pages first. So he’s like, ‘Yo, did you read the new scene?’ I’m like, ‘Nah, what’s up?’ So, he takes me down…and he gave me the script and let me read it. And it was really great and really emotional to learn it from a friend…I don’t know a lot of actors who would have appreciated or celebrated that moment with a fellow actor in that way because I was taking his job for all intents and purposes.”

Skeleton Crew and Rebels are some of the best Star Wars ever made, but the continued clinging to the Skywalker Saga absolutely suffocates all potential this franchise has. Existing outside of it is a large reason why Skeleton Crew worked so well.
KEEP THE PRESSURE ON SONY!
In a recent Kotaku interview NIS CEO Saruhashi says that Sony "is hearing a lot of feedback from players" and that things might not be as set in stone as parts of the industry want you to believe regarding the future of physical media.
