Tomorrow I will vote no on Bill C-9.

The Liberals' decision to shut down debate on this deeply concerning Bill and rush its passage through the House is wrong.

I submitted to the House a petition from local faith leaders that warned of the dangers of ignoring the concerns of Canada's many faith communities regarding Bill C-9. Civil liberty groups and major unions echoed these concerns.

C-9 will only chill freedom of speech and weaken our ability to combat hate. It should not be passed.
