I see a lot of posts about @uhaul’s pricing. Let’s break it down.

Yes a uhaul van is 19.95 but when you add insurance (Chicago it’s 30 a day) and if you do 10 miles, that can range from 1.09 to 1.49 a mile (weekend rate).

Add tax, you’re at $70 for a day rental with 10 miles.

I wish they had frequent rental discounts. I’m still mad that mileage jumped from 0.99 a mile to 1.49 on weekends.
