Ruto is telling us that the only way we can have the unemployed youth across the country secure jobs, is to have his Finance Bill pass so that the housing levy is operationalized. Based on this argument, he is threatening MPs with serious consequences if they do not pass the bill.
I am wondering, there has been massive construction work going on in this country; houses, office blocks, hospitals and all manner of infrastructure development. If all these haven’t resolved the unemployment issue that Ruto is talking about, how exactly is his housing project going to do it?
