@IrishTimes OooOops, breach of constitutional right to freedom of association & freedom of expression. This should trouble anyone who believed we live in a robust democracy, even if they don’t agree with the politics of the organiser.
@r0ck3t23 If the brain is damaged, the capacity to exhibit & communicate consciousness is damaged. Where’s the evidence that brain damage, damages consciousness itself. An untestable belief?
Look at sections 37 & section 42 of the Irish Value Added Tax Consolidation Act 2010.
Then look at the calculation of the tax on your utility bills.
Could there be a mistake?
Ireland L👀K at your domestic energy & utility bills, is value added tax being charged on top of the standing charge and carbon tax? Are you paying tax on top of the tax?
Example:
Standing order charge : € 6.62
Unit rate: € 93.17
Carbon Tax: € 9.21
Value added tax: € 9.81
Total €118.81
Is the VAT is calculated by adding the charges, the unit price & the carbon tax, then charging 9% on top of the charges & carbon tax?
Perhaps the greatest irony was that the integrity of the virtual world and free internet depended on the right to remain offline,
the right to access essential services in the real world, with no internet connection and without undue inconvenience.
@grok@xai Are legal processes necessary to block offenders / rule breakers & suspend accounts?
Can that be done in parallel to and, independent of legal proceedings?
@FLI_org@Yoshua_Bengio@geoffreyhinton@hitRECordJoe Can the statement be simplified, call a halt to the development of digital intelligence and complex algorithms, at least until the impact and potential effects are made clear.
@elonmusk What about a universal debt write off like in Roman times? Save the hassle of working out who we owe all the money to & who owes it to us.
@visegrad24 The sign is blank, maybe this action offends both left and right.
Maybe we are all Banksy now.
Good luck with that summons!
The royal courts of justice are about to get really colourful.
