Time to face facts - the #TMX pipeline has no place in a just future - it spells disaster for Indigenous Rights, the Climate, and the economy. #StopTMX https://t.co/ASSIJM2tsB
A nurse instantly forgets what patients tell her. A lawyer can't recognize her own car. A neurologist can't remember the word "work" in a work meeting. It's Covid brain fog - and it's playing havoc with people's lives. https://t.co/2L2eh6G5kR
In county jail we were rarely ever let outside of our cell. So we passed around a guide to learn the alphabet in sign language. We would stand for hours signing through a tiny glass window just for human interaction.
Its #LaborDay2020 & convict leasing is still being practiced. Even with a pandemic, prison factories still forcing incarcerated ppl to work for literally pennies. Incarcerated firefighters risking their lives to fight fires for pennies. We have not come far enough to celebrate.
