"Poem" by Me
My chest ripples,
as your cheek presses against it
Your head sinks past flesh,
Chipping at bone.
Eroded, now, you see
my heart, it's floating
pulsating red,
contrasting the deep blue
see?
we're meant to be
resurface, so we
can kiss blissfully.
Gonna attempt to write a romance short story for practice cuz I do have romantic elements in my stories that I need to touch up.
it's titled "Unconditional"
My short stories aren't perfect, but they are ideas I'm expressing for the sake of practice, if I do publish a book of short stories, I'll go back and develop and revise each piece more.
For now, I've got lots of ideas I want to continue to express and gain practice from.
"Manipulation"
I woke up, a thin layer of skin
You’re the bones
Trapping every muscle
My organs not my own
Your fingers, nerves
gripping tightly from within
Through your eyes, my tears shed
As I try to free my skin
I wish I had shoulders like mountains, so everyone has a place they can rest.
I hope that whoever needs someone, comes across someone that can help them.
There's nothing in this world that can be done to you, that gives you the right to hurt others purposefully and maliciously.
Treat people's hearts with care, it matters
I think there's depression, then there's lifelong grief, that not everyone carries and can handle the weight of.
Let me remind you that even though you've been heartbroken time after time, you deserve to live, you deserve to love, and you do have the strength to keep going.
