There is a version of American nationalism that camouflages itself as Christianity...
It has its own icons and idols, its own creeds and worship songs.
But it looks nothing like Jesus.
If it doesn’t look like Jesus, it is counterfeit religion.
Christian means “Christ-like.”
Is it just me, or most reformed Christians really are all intellect but no spirit. Critical, judgmental, and self righteous. Or they maybe not real Christians after all?
Sorry, not sorry.
@BornAgainBalaky I don't listen to all on the list but one... Paul Washer. Although I only pick what I think is relevant to my personal doctrinal convictions. I don't generally listen to reformed preachers not just MacArthur and Piper.
My scripture for this year...
Forgetting what's behind, pressing forward to what's ahead, towards God's call upon my life.
What is your scripture for this year? What is God calling you to accomplish for His Kingdom, for His glory?
Happy New Year!
@catholicpat He forgot that the Apostle Paul, the "super" apostle of Jesus and have planted many churches among the gentiles was unmarried with no children (obviously) and have abandoned his vocation (a prominent Pharisee) to serve the Lord.
Mark Driscoll, you forgot that Paul, the "super" apostle of Jesus and have planted many churches among the gentiles was unmarried with no children (obviously) and have abandoned his vocation (a prominent Pharisee) to serve the Lord. He even had to make tents to support himself.
Pastor of mega church, worth $2.5 million, says it’s hard to admire Catholic priests for being committed to poverty. He claims chaste men don’t inspire men. What do you think he’d say about Jesus?

Atheist: Christianity is irrational.
Christian: Why?
A: You believe in the resurrection.
C: Is that a problem?
A: Yes! No one has ever observed a resurrection.
C: I see. So, you have a problem with the idea of an intelligent God restoring life from non-life?
A: Of course!
C: I see. Question: Don't you believe that unintelligent processes created life from non-life?
A: Yes. It's called abiogenesis.
C: Yes, and have you ever observed it?
A: Well, no.
C: And you have no empirical evidence for it, right?
A: Well, no.
C: But you think it's rational?
A: Yes.
Atheism is the ultimate form of cognitive dissonance.
I don't understand how Russia could shoot down an Azerbaijani commercial plane. They are allies. They worked together in occupying and conquering Artzack, an Armenian territory.
On December 25, a Russian air defense system shot down an Azerbaijan Airlines Embraer 190 en route from Baku to Grozny.
This is not the first time Russia has shot down a civilian plane.

Here's a short Christmas blog I wrote. While the whole knows about this festive celebration, there are many who don't really understand what it's all about...

Waiting is probably the most painful thing for a Christian. Waiting for God's plan to unfold. Waiting for the right time of its fulfillment. But sometimes the most painful is the fact that we're not yet ready and there's still so much spiritual prunings and preparations to do.
