The US Ambassador should be summoned and challenged over Trump’s rampant Islamophobia.
Trump continually spreads lies. In London, we celebrate our diversity and reject racists and bigots. London is the greatest city in the world in huge part due to @SadiqKhan's leadership.
Once again: Israel's defenders think it is somehow exonerating that the first kids dying of malnutrition already had illnesses and disabilities (many from the war itself) that made the effects of food deprivation particularly hard on them. No! That shows you're killing the weak!
It’s estimated Gaza had as much, likely more, explosives dropped on it as Dresden, Hamburg and London in WW2. Little wonder it looks like this. Not filmed with anything fancy, just an iPhone through a window. There’s no avoiding the scale of destruction. https://t.co/CFrVtiEh9J
As Gaza's children starve to death in front of the whole world:
Remember what Mail on Sunday columnist @DPJHodges said.
He affirmed that Gaza's children "can just go to hell"
Well, Dan, you got your wish. Gaza's children are in hell.
History will remember what you did.
One way to support @FranceskAlbs is to read, circulate, cite, quote, and teach the rigorous reports she has written on self-determination, carceral system, child rights, genocide, and corporate complicity. Here is a list:
Israel correctly realized that if it killed enough people, with enough regularity, all of the massacres would kind of blur together and each individual atrocity would stop getting much attention
New low for the UK, which, when it comes to Palestine, has never offered more than hypocrisy.
And here we are: 100 years of colonial hubris circling back and hitting home.
17 hours after its unlawful seizure and capture, the #Madleen crew remains held offshore, reportedly near Ashdod. I call on:
– Israel to release them immediately, and let them sail unimpeded to Gaza;
– The UK to act under its Article 94 UNCLOS duties as flag-state to ensure the safety of the crew;
– Crew members’ home states (Brazil, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Turkey), to intervene to ensure the safety of their citizens.
There is no legal basis for Israel’s actions. All states must uphold their obligations under the Genocide Convention—to prevent further acts of genocide and end Israel’s impunity.
It should never have fallen to ordinary citizens to do what states refuse to.
Opinion from the FT's Editorial Board: 'The US and European countries that tout Israel as an ally that shares their values have issued barely a word of condemnation. They should be ashamed of their silence, and stop enabling Netanyahu to act with impunity.' https://t.co/fbf9aojkcg
"There would be something deeply perverse about celebrating the defeat of the extreme right on the battlefield on VE Day while ignoring the fact that much of the West is currently voting for its ideological descendants at the ballot box." https://t.co/aTJmOVqo81
The UK Supreme Court’s transphobic ruling on the definition of woman last week is a defeat for all women—even, ultimately, the self-described feminists celebrating it & the women who will gain in the short term from their alliance with the carceral state.

I'm amazed this is not getting more coverage.
On Friday and over the weekend police officers raided the homes of around eight young people active in Youth Demand, a non-violent organisation which campaigns around climate change and Palestine.
This is in the wake of, and in addition to, the much publicised raid on a Youth Demand welcome meeting at a Quaker meeting house last Thursday night when 6 young women were arrested.
A number of these young people live with their parents, who describe receiving visits from 8 police officers who conducted highly intrusive searches of their homes.
The young people were arrested. A number were held overnight before being released on bail. Their electronic devices and other possessions have been seized.
This is an astonishing over reaction by the police.
Please publicise.
NEW UN REPORT: “The evidence reveals a deplorable increase in sexual and gender-based violence [since October 2023]... There is no escape from the conclusion that Israel has employed sexual and gender-based violence against Palestinians to terrorise them." https://t.co/gw1vKhrDHG
